BBA is founded on conviction
Beautifully Brewed Ales Co. was founded in 2022 in Kingston upon Hull, on England’s windswept northeastern coast — a city whose proud maritime heritage runs through every barrel the team produces.
From the outset, BBA set out to brew ales with the philosophical rigour of a Burgundian vigneron and the aesthetic ambition of a Champagne house. No lagers. No shortcuts. No compromise. Only top-fermented ales, each conceived as a singular expression of craft, place, and character.
The brewery’s portfolio spans eight distinct ales — from the delicate effervescence of a Berliner Weiße to the cathedral-dark depths of an Imperial Stout.
Hull — The Place Behind the Brew
Kingston upon Hull is not the obvious home for a luxury ale brand. And that, the team would argue, is precisely the point.
Hull has always existed slightly apart from the rest of England — independent, resilient, and unimpressed by fashion. BBA draws directly from that spirit.
The North Sea wind, the flat light of the Humber estuary, the city’s long history of trade and craftsmanship — all of it finds its way, somehow, into the glass.
